Contra Remix does not speak for nor act on behalf of it’s dance community. We want to cultivate spaces that allow for the development of health and wellbeing for everyone. With that future aim in mind, we are starting with ourselves. We are offering encouragement and support through your process of personally accepting and understanding the role of of apathy, guilt, and shame as well as in the exploration, education, and inner personal process of dismantling racism within ourselves. The discussion group we offer is not for discussing how to integrate or diversify. It is a beginner friendly, and “do we have to do this again” friendly group for community support in the process of dismantling racism. Supporting and encouraging direct and indirect activism, acting on your personal agency to find resources, and cultivating a space for sharing that is as free of shame and guilt as we can manage - knowing that this is a process and will sometimes be messy and uncomfortable. Using Dismantling-Racism
